Ok? Ok. <BR/><BR/>Seeing the blatant hostility against themselves by the GLB powerqueers over 20+ years of work, have the trans-rights leadership tried to build any bridges with any other minority rights groups? From my little corner of whitebread suburbia, it seems like disability rights groups might be a natural choice, with medical parity and right-to-treatment and right-to-no-treatment and all that stuff. Of course, that's predicated on the willingness to label trans-ness as a treatable birth defect, I suppose, with some sort of stepped treatment approach, and that alone might very well not fly real nice.<BR/><BR/>Like I said, dumb white girl.<BR/><BR/>But again, considering the hostility, have trans activists looked elsewhere in the broader civil rights community for support?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
